Senior Product Designer


Algolia
is an artificial intelligence platform offering unified search and navigation experiences, designed to improve conversions across all major platforms. It integrates features such as recommendations, predictions and even neural search.

When I joined the company, I was immediately entrusted with one of Algolia's most crucial missions: NeuralSearch. With a team of engineers and product managers, the race was on to launch this new product. In just 4 months, I had to understand the overall workings of Algolia, the dynamics of the company, get to know my new colleagues, and gain a thorough understanding of the technical side of the business in order to do my job properly for the product release. Being a highly technical AI-based initiative, it was imperative to guarantee the best possible experience for our most important customers, without making it seem incomprehensible or impossible to implement.
During these 4 months, in collaboration with the teams, we worked on the user journey (UX journey), benchmarks, the journey map, and prototypes in order to launch the beta version. Finally, there followed the redesign and proposals for the Data part (known as Events), without which Algolia would not be able to operate at full capacity.

Behind the requirements and challenges of such a feature, my pleasure in trying to understand this new technology and deliver an optimal user experience for our engineers and customers was at its peak. Currently, I'm continuing to work on these features as well as others, such as neural personalization, enabling predictions for our customers' end-users, and the Analytics part.

Working at Algolia has shown me that a company can take care of its employees despite such great challenges and sustained pressure. With our team of 5 designers, we always strive to challenge each other in our projects, all in a spirit of kindness and mutual respect.).
